Dear Travelers and colleagues,
Namaste and Greetings from Nepal !
Nepal is a Kingdom of high Himalayan mountains,
artistic monuments, exotic wildlife and diverse cultures.
It is the land where Lord Buddha, the apostle of peace was
born over 2500 years ago.
Nepal surprisingly contains the greatest altitudinal variation
on this planet. The land rises from the Terai, the southern
plains at almost sea level, and within a short distance to
the north, culminates at Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest), the highest
point on earth. Eight of the 14 summits in the world over
8000m lie in Nepal. In addition to these 8000m giants, there
are hundred of lesser peaks strewn across the Himalaya that
stretches all along the length of the country. Since the first
ascent of Everest by Edmund Hillary & Tenzing Sherpa in
1953 , climbers have been regular visitors to this land. Crawling
up 8000m rock faces may not be everyone's idea of fun, but
anybody can go trekking. If you are reasonably fit and are
not afraid of walking, you are qualify. A quarter of all visitors
to Nepal come solely to trek. And sizeable proportion of trekkers
happen to past their youth.
The climatic conditions are also ranging from the tropical
heat of the Terai plains to the freezing cold of the high
Himalaya. The mid-hills, and particularly the Katmandu valley,
are pleasant with warm summers and cold winters. The Katmandu
valley offers an incomparable connoisseurs of art and culture
to see and study the different aspects of the fine arts in
its painting, sculpture, woodcarving and architecture. The
three main cities of Katmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur with numerous
historical monuments, old palaces, palace squares, shrines,
pagoda temples, stupas, ageless traditions and legends make
it veritable living museum.
The southern plains of Terai shelter to over 30 species of
large wild animals and approximately 180 species of mammals.
The rhinoceros, tiger, crocodile, snow leopard, red panda,
Himalayan black bear, and many other beasts are found in Nepal's
jungles. Nepal is also a haven for birds and over 800 species
representing approximately 8% of the world's population, are
found here.

group and wherever you go people are hospitable and are always
smiling with warm welcome.
